Over £60,000 awarded to local organisations
- Over £60,000 has recently been awarded to five charities within the local Charnwood area via Intelligent Energy’s Charitable Trust.
- Each year the Intelligent Energy Charitable Trust donates £100,000 to local causes, with applications for the 2022 awards now open.
Loughborough – 13th January 2022 – Five Charnwood based charities and organisations who applied for financial support last year have recently been awarded over £60,000. Funds ranging from £2,000 to £19,000 have been awarded to the following charities:
The Intelligent Energy Charitable Trust was founded in January 2019 and allocates £100,000 of funds each year to be shared amongst Loughborough and Charnwood organisations. Our Charitable Trust has enabled us to support a range of charities and organisations in the Charnwood area over the past 3 years with awardees ranging from village football teams, elderly lunch clubs, hospices and support centres for the homeless.

The Charitable Trust committee is due to meet in April to discuss and allocate the funds for 2022. Applications are now open and will close online in March with local charities and organisations invited to submit their applications for consideration.
